Today, we delve into the story of Achan from the book of Joshua, a tale of disobedience, consequences, and ultimately, redemption. This story resonates deeply with many of us, including a recent client, who has faced her own trials and tribulations.

1. The Sin of Achan: Achan, a member of the tribe of Judah, disobeyed God’s explicit command not to take any spoils from the conquered city of Jericho. He coveted and took a beautiful robe, 200 shekels of silver, and a bar of gold, hiding them in his tent. This act of disobedience brought God’s wrath upon the entire nation of Israel, leading to their defeat at Ai and the loss of 36 men.
