A Good Name is More Desirable

Over the years I have been able to glean from and sit under the teachings of some very highly esteemed individuals. They have either carried the mantle of integrity, demonstrated the teachings of a higher power, or explained with great passion the power in maintaining a positive outlook. All had not come from glorious backgrounds, in fact they would attest that they were on paths of destruction prior to becoming reputable men and women. They may also add that within the process of rebuilding their lives and reputations they stumbled over traps set up to make them fail. But ultimately, they were able to overcome the grief, pain, shame and failure that had been endured.

One thing that they all succinctly instructed was that your mind set was to remain positive, that you should surround yourself with wise and loyal people and most importantly your reputation was to be fiercely guarded. {Proverbs 22:1AMP}

Image consultants, public relations, stylists, life coaches, ministers, mental health professionals and the like can only do so much in your transformation. We lay out the process, but it is solely up to you to take the steps to achieve your own success. Your behavior must match your desired outcome.

We previously discussed how to rebuild your reputation. It goes without saying that there are just some people you may never win over. They will only see what they want to see about you and there is nothing you can do about it. You can only apologize or state the actual facts so many times. People that refuse to accept you, continue to label you, or dismiss your ability to prevail are low minded individuals. And thus, you should move on to better company. In any case, it is important to remember that rebuilding a reputation is a process that takes time and effort. It can be emotionally and mentally challenging, but it is possible. Consider reaching out to mental health professionals or support groups to help you manage the stress and cope with the situation. Below are the following steps we at Keyola Consultants advise one should take when regaining their good name:

1. Have a plan - Come up with a plan that outlines what you want to accomplish and how you plan to accomplish it. This should include specific goals, strategies, and tactics.

2. Apologize - Depending on the nature of the damage, apologize to the community publicly or privately. Be sincere about your apology and take responsibility for your actions.

3. Focus on quality {Business Professional} - Create high-quality products and provide excellent customer service. Focus on building a positive reputation with your current customers.

4. Build new relationships - Reach out to new people and communities and start building new relationships. {Business Professional} Attend trade shows, networking events, and conferences, and be open to new opportunities.

5. Share your story - People respond well to a good story. Share your story and why you are passionate about your business. Be honest and authentic and show your commitment to making things right.

6. Be patient - Reputation takes time to rebuild. Be patient and consistent in your efforts and keep working towards your goals.

By following these steps, you can start rebuilding your reputation and gaining the favor you desire. Remember to take care of yourself, stay focused on your goals, and keep pushing forward!
